show notes:

Welcome to a remarkable episode of the Awaken To Your Real Power podcast. I am very excited to introduce to you Tara Gilvar, who is the CEO and founder of BELIEVE. INSPIRE. GROW. (BIG), a women’s empowerment organization that envisions to help women unlock their true potential and live the lives they are meant to live.

The 3 strong values that this phenomenal organization stands for are: “Authentic Connections”, “Growth & Nurture” and “Together We Are Better”. They provide the inspiration, tools and community to help women every day become the best versions of themselves. Join us in this conversation as we talk about life, empowerment, connection and spirituality, helping share the word of happiness to every woman who needs to feel heard!

Having known what it feels like to not be doing what one was meant to in life, Tara simplifies every woman’s understanding of life after becoming a mother and a caretaker. It’s like going into oblivion, totally forgetting things we’ve wanted to achieve in life. It takes a huge awakening to bring us out of the frame we’ve shrunk ourselves into. Tara explains how she wanted to have time for her newborn while also engaging in work that she was meant to do.

Tara started her entrepreneurial journey by sending an e-mail to the women in her community who seemed like her, wanting more out of their life beyond what they were doing. These women had the skills and education, but weren't utilizing it. To her surprise, she had 42 women showing up in her living room and says this is how it all started.

She describes herself to be a “connector”, somebody who could connect with, understand and grow with people. True to her understanding, she’s been supporting  and helping a lot of women understand their true potential and inspiring them to do more every day.

She has shared today the reason why she doesn’t find networking to be a very important word today- she finds it to be transactional and less authentic. She advocates meaningful connections and bonds, stressing on the importance of knowing yourself to be able to connect better. Tara believes women can find purpose and success in many ways in life, we only just need to treat ourselves as a whole. She says her understanding of people could have birthed from her father’s words, who taught her the importance of helping others and being there for each other. She holds on to the belief that women deserve to be the best versions of themselves.

Tara shares the moment she felt like she had to invest time for self care and make herself happier. This made her start investing financially, emotionally and physically in her health and wellbeing. Every woman has a life beyond the 4 walls of her house and out of family commitments and has the potential to find time for herself, an awakening for a stronger purpose is all it takes to have it achieved!

A very important take-away from this conversation would be Tara’s unparalleled advice on taking the risk and risking the change. A change is perhaps difficult for any individual to adapt to initially, but if it does you good, it is worth making the move!

Today, tune in for a beautiful few minutes of listening, empower the spirit in you and awaken to your real power!
