Impact With Influence

show notes:

Welcome to another awakening conversation at the Awaken to Your Real Power podcast. Joining me on this episode is an inspiring individual who despite all the glorious achievements she’s had, manages to connect with every one of us at a personal level. I am very excited to introduce to you today Geeta Nadkarni. She is a veteran journalist and performer with more than 25 years experience in the mainstream media. As the founder of ImpactwithInfluence.com,  She has helped coaches and infopreneurs all over the world grow 6- and 7-figure businesses without sacrificing freedom, family time or integrity. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, Forbes, CBC, CNN, ABC, Reader’s Digest and she has been a contributor to Huffington Post, Entrepreneur, Inc and more.

Everything that Geeta expresses through words so magically and translates into beautiful quotes that you cannot miss out on taking notes of them in memory!

As we start off, Geeta takes us into thinking how we’re people sharing the same continuum, just behind or ahead of each other in the journey. Going back by knowing people who’re behind her helps her fall in love with the work all over again and gives her more ownership of the work she does. Your relationship with your work keeps maturing over time.

Starting off very young, Geeta has a wealth of 25 years of experience as a storyteller-journalist. It would be impactful to learn from Geeta that you already have your skills with you. You just never really identified it.

Geeta was born to 2 classic overachiever parents, as she describes them to be. She grew up in Mumbai, India. Her mom was a Medical Doctor, one of the first cancer specialists in the country then, and her dad was a successful business consultant and had his name in the Guinness Book of World records in the field of sports as a badminton player. She recollects her distaste for the language English and writing essays back when 10 years old. This was a setback for her father, who was very well-versed in the language and flaunted his language skills anywhere.

Things took a turn when her dad decided to work on improving her English writing skills, making herself and her siblings write 3 essays a week in a fun way. And this that started off as her father’s efforts to correct her writing abilities, found her life’s purpose. She started to love writing and says she was lucky to have got a guide so early in her life that simplified the entire process.

I say internalize it before you monetize it. Each of our stories is different. It starts and ends differently but aims at the same goal- purpose. Geeta shares how she got the ‘lottery’ moment in life when she got to be the columnist for the Inc. magazine. But calling it a twist of fate, she had to quit the job because the topics she wrote on did not match with their requirements. Geeta eventually realized that she had the freedom to do whatever she needed to in life.

Geeta’s philosophy of “it is working” has always worked for me and will for you too. Learn today her story with miracles and that life-changing experience which totally transformed her career for the better.

As Geeta shares, you don’t have to be perfect to be successful. The principles of ‘possibility’ and ‘information’ keep her moving. Let’s also learn to give ourselves more permission so as to create an Awakened and True version of ourselves everyday!
